Colonel Alan Orr serves as the President and Founder of Combat Marine Outdoors. Their mission is to provide dream hunts and outdoor adventures for severely wounded Marines, Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Navy Corpsmen. The hunting and fishing excursions play a vital role in the rehabilitation of these American heroes.  The goal is to allow heroic warriors the opportunity to have an outdoor adventure of a lifetime and to make sure that they understand that their service and sacrifice to our country was deeply appreciated.
 
Alan Orr is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Upon completion of Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.  During his military career, he commanded several Firing Batteries, a Marine Corps Recruiting Station, an Artillery Battalion, and an Artillery Regiment. He is a graduate of the Marine Amphibious Warfare School in Quantico,VA, and the Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course in Fort Sill, OK.
 
Col Orr is also a graduate, with honors, from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. He holds several Masters degrees. Col Orr has numerous combat tours from Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Somalia to Iraq. Today, Col. Alan Orr has retired from serving on the faculty at the U.S. Army War College, and has started Orr Tactical based in Richmond, Texas.
