Matt Morgan is Texas State Representative of District 26. Rep. Morgan was elected in November 2024 and served in his first Legislature beginning in January 2025. Morgan was born in Houston, Texas. He attended Sam Houston State University in 2002, earning his Bachelor's degree. He is an insurance adjuster. Representative Morgan will discuss his experiences in the 89th Legislature and the Special Session called by Gov. Greg Abbott and various legislation addressed and passed. Please join us for this insightful discussion of governing and the impacts of enacted legislation would have on District 26 citizens and businesses. |

Jennifer was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. A lifelong resident, she attended elementary through high school within the Victoria public school system. She then attended Victoria College for her associate’s degree and the University of Houston, Victoria (now Texas A&M Victoria) for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, majoring in business, communications, marketing and non-profit leadership.
She joined First Victoria National Bank (Victoria, Texas) in 1990 and served in roles from loan review, accounting and audit, investment management, managing a branch and ultimately as the Vice President of Retail Banking.
Jennifer then joined Victoria College, serving numerous roles from 2000-2020. At Victoria College she led the College’s resource development and educational efforts including private and public donations and grants, the VC Foundation, Board of Trustees matters, the Marketing and Communications office, Workforce & Continuing Education and customized training and the Emerging Technology Complex. Additionally, she managed a conference and education training center, a performing arts facility, and a museum. Jennifer relocated to Richmond in 2020 and joined the Houston Area Women’s Center as the Chief Development Officer. For 4 ½ years, she worked to secure financial support to provide emergency shelter, temporary housing, and counseling services for survivors and their children affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.
In 2024, Jennifer joined Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. As the Senior Vice President of Development, she is responsible for securing philanthropic investments from companies, foundations, individuals, and public resources to support JA’s mission. JA provides programs and experiential learning services to K-12 students in over 25 school districts. The programs are designed to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy and ensure economic opportunity and mobility for all students.
Jennifer is married to Chief Jeff Craig. Together they have six children and five (almost six) grandchildren.

The new year has arrived and the Rotary Club of Richmond will return to our traditional 3rd Tuesday of the Month service activity and "make sandwiches for Nery's Promise kids". Join us on Tuesday, January 20th at 12 noon at Morton Masonic Lodge in a service actiivty for our community and enjoy the fellowship of Rotary. President Jeff will conduct a brief meeting and update us important topics and activities then we will adjourn to make 100 sandwiches and snacks for Nery's Kids. |

The 2025 Pecan Harvest Festival Recap meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, January 21st from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at Joe's Oyster Bar & Grill at 535 FM 2877 Rosenberg, TX 77469. All PHF Planning Committee members and Rotary Club members are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and observations. The purpose of the RECAP Meeting to report on the financial outcome of the 2025 event and to identiy and discuss A) things the went "RIGHT" and should be repeated, and B) things where "OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT" could/ should be made. These items will be discussed and considered for the 2026 PHF.

On Tuesday, January 27th, during our regular 12:00 noon lunch meeting at the Morton Masonic Lodge, we will hold an open discussion focused on the Pecan Harvest Festival, our community event and annual fundraiser. Please make plans to join us for this very special and important meeting. As this Club Assembly may increase normal member attendance and the number of meals ordered, we ask that you register for this meeting and advise us (in the comments section) if you want to have a meal available for you. |

Justin Moehn is a dedicated Data Entry Clerk with six years of experience at BlueSprig. He was diagnosed with autism in 1985 at Texas Children’s Hospital, and over the years he has become a committed self‑advocate for the autism community. Justin regularly presents at events for organizations, businesses, and community groups, focusing on general autism resources and, more recently, introductory job‑skills training. In 2019, Justin received an advocacy award from The Arc of Fort Bend County in recognition of his contributions. Justin graduated from Austin High School in 2001 and continued his education at Wharton County Junior College, earning certifications in PC Technical Support and Office Administration. Justin has also collaborated with law enforcement by sharing information and insights from his presentations to support awareness and understanding of individuals with autism.

In 2021 Keith Elder retired from the company that he built from the ground up. The company had unrivaled real-time wireless seismic technology. The French company, Total, became an investor in Wireless Seismic Inc. (WSI) in 2014. WSI was approached by Total to be part of a team dedicated to the design of a revolutionary system to do oil exploration in an extreme environment. It was launched in the jungle of Papua New Guinea. Keith worked on this system for 5 years, innovating sensor technology for deployment from drones.His company developed specialized RF technology for use in a jungle environment. Keith joined WSI as the VP of Engineering in 2007 with 30 years of seismic industry experience. WSI sold their first commercial system in 2012. Prior to joining WSI, Keith worked for a Houston based company, Input/Output, Inc. for 18 years where he held several management and engineering positions. He provided technical leadership in the development of several of Input/Output’s cable and wireless systems. Keith spent the remainder of his seismic career in field service and management for several geophysical contractors. Keith holds numerous patents related to the application of seismic instrumentation. Keith is a graduate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Electronic Engineering. |

The theme of the Gala is focusing on Polio Plus. Andrew Stein from the Gates Foundation will share his knowledge on how we END Polio, and also a tped interview with the last living iron lung user. We will have an actual iron lung on hand. Attire: Busienss/ Cocktail Wear "purple or red" and be ready to celebrate all of the good that we, in District 5890, have done and WILL DO to End Polio NOW.
