A graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, Rick immediately pitched on the United States Olympic exhibition baseball team in Mexico. As a designated Naval Aviator he made numerous carrier deployments, held top leadership positions in carrier-based squadrons, and Pentagon shore assignments on the Joint Staff and the Secretary of the Navy's staff. With a Masters of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, he was the Senior Fellow on the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group to develop innovative war fighting concepts for the 21st Century Navy. He has received numerous personal awards including the Defense Superior Service Award; Legion of Merit (3 awards); Meritorious Service Award (2 awards); and Navy Commendation Award. Following transition from the Navy, he worked with several corporations as a senior consultant, VP and Senior VP focused on organizational and people improvement and development; integration of acquired companies; and training and human resource functions. He was a Chair for TEC International. Rick is the Founder and President of TREVANIONGROUP, LLC. His political activity in Fort Bend County, Texas includes being a delegate in Senatorial and State Conventions, member of the 2008 and 2010 State Platform Committee, 2010 State Party Nominations Committee Chairman, Alternate Delegate-at-Large to the 2012 National Convention in Tampa, FL, a Precinct Chair, and Chairman of the Fort Bend County Republican Party from 2007 to 2011. Rick has served on the Sugar Land Regional Airport Policy Board; three terms on the Rotary Board of Directors; Finance Chairman at Sugar Creek Baptist Church; Chairman of Rotary Veterans Tribute 2005, 2007 (The Legacy of Freedom) and Honoring America's Heroes, 2011. He has three sons - a Navy Captain; a lawyer; and the youngest is in heaven. He also has three grandchildren. Rick and his wife, Treanne, reside in Sugar Land.
