Texas Land Heritage Award

Jess Stuart was born and raised in Fort Bend County. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and is an eighth generation Texan. Jess is married to Terri and they have with two children, Grace and Foster. He is the Community Development Executive for the YMCAs of Fort Bend County and has worked for the YMCA of Greater Houston for 25 years. He serves as the Vice President of the Old Foster Museum and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Richmond. He also is a member of the Fort Bend County Historical Commission and Historic Richmond Commission. Jess received the Texas Land Heritage Award in 2011 from the State of Texas for continuous land ownership in the same family for more than 150 years out in the Foster Community.
