Sandra is first generation European American that was born in Uruguay. She arrived in the United States at 3 months old. She grew up in New York City until she was 12 when she came to Texas. Sandra speaks several languages due to her southern European heritage but reads and writes only English and Spanish. Sandra attended Lehman College with an associate degree in dance.

 

Sandra moved to Houston in 1986 and met her husband Eric in the same year in college. They were married 1988. Sandra decided to pursue a career in healthcare management. She has worked in various aspects of medical, dental, podiatric specialties, improving their practices and teaching staff and doctors about Practice Management.

 

Though not an official Rotarian until 2017, she was always one in her heart as she served alongside Eric. Sandra has volunteered and worked at the district level on various committees and service projects since 2004. She was co-chair of the first district 5890 spouses committee at district conference 2013. She was the Co-Founder and Charter member of Rotary Community Corp of D5890 2014. Charter President of the Rotary Club of Houston Energy Corridor 2016-2017.  She is serving as Assistant Governor. She was honored with the Service Above Self Award for Spouses from Rotary International in 2013. She is a Major Donor I, Bequest Society III, and a Polio Plus Society.

 

Sandra and Eric have one son, Blake, who is a senior in Texas A&M University.  Blake is also a Paul Harris Fellow.
