Kristen Weiss - Central Ft Bend Chamber

Kristin Weiss, IOM joined the Central Fort Bend Chamber (CFBC) in 2018 as the President & CEO, with an extensive background in Chamber of Commerce, non-profit, marketing/sales and business development. She has been in the chamber world for over 10 years and this is her second tour at Central Fort Bend.
Kristin graduated from the US Chamber of Commerce Southeast Institute of Organization Management (IOM) at the University of Georgia in Athens in 2004, where she earned her IOM designation in Non-Profit Management. She went on to serve as a Southeast Institute Class Advisor and served two years on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Kristin is currently enrolled in the Center for Chamber of Commerce Excellence (CCCE) program at Texas A&M University, where she completed the three-year program in February 2023. Kristin serves as the Board Secretary for Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Executives (GCCE), on the Liberal Arts Advisory Council at Texas A&M and the UH at Sugar Land Advisory Council. She is also a 2009 graduate of the Central Fort Bend Chamber’s Leadership Fort Bend program, Fort Bend Leadership, Class of 2002 and Leadership Excellence for Non-profits, Class of 2010. And most recently, Kristin completed the US Chamber of Commerce Talent Pipeline Management program in 2021 and is a member of Cohort XVII.
Kristin’s career in Fort Bend County started in advertising in1992, where she worked on Sugar Land Properties Inc., now Planned Community Developers, and on the Fort Bend County Fair accounts for MMI Houston. Since 2000, Kristin has worked primarily in Fort Bend County in non-profit and for-profit businesses. Her love for non-profit work and Chamber life brought her back to Central Fort Bend Chamber.
As a graduate of Texas A&M, Kristin, who bleeds maroon, and her husband, Charlie, love everything Texas A&M and enjoy watching Aggie football and baseball. Kristin is a long-time supporter of the 12th Man Foundation and Texas A&M Association of Former Students. In their spare time, Kristin and Charlie love spending time with friends and family, riding bikes, hiking in National Parks, attending shows at the Hobby Center and Alley Theater, cheering on the Houston Astros, reading and trying out new restaurants. Together, they have four children, a son-in-law and two granddaughters.
