Advocates of Healthy Minds


 Evelyn was born and raised in Wyoming and has lived in Sugar Land for the last 23 years.
 She has had the opportunity to be involved in Ft. Bend County in many capacities and loves living in Sugar Land and all the wonderful and caring people in Ft. Bend County!

 She was the Speaker’s Bureau Representative for Methodist Sugar Land Hospital for 11 years until starting her own Speaker’s Bureau on January 1st of this year.

 She has been involved with and has volunteered for many non profits and is active as a member of the Ft. Bend Exchange Club and recently became the President of the Ft. Bend Rotary.

Evelyn is Founder and Executive Director of a non profit called Advocates of Healthy Minds.  They offer many classes including coping skills for anxiety, depression, PTSD and suicide prevention. There classes are given to K-12, college students, all adults, first responders and Veterans.  She has just recently taken the instructor classes which will enable her to teach the Mental Health First Aid Classes. These trainings are given by the Council on Behavorial Health out of Washington, DC.

 She has been married to Bill for 35 years and they have a son William who lives near Chicago and is a Certified Financial Planner.
