Fort Bend History Association

Claire Rogers is the Executive Director of the Fort Bend History Association, which includes the Fort Bend Museum and the George Ranch Historical Park. She has been with the association for almost 15 years, first as Education Coordinator and then Site Manager of the Fort Bend Museum in Richmond. Prior to that she was a social worker, bereavement counselor and Bible study teacher. She has a degree in Sociology from Louisiana State University and a Master’s in Social Work from University of Houston. Claire serves on the Executive Committee for the Fort Bend County Historical Commission, is a member of the Richmond Historic District Commission, the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation board, and the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma’s teacher sorority. Claire and her husband Ron have lived in the Richmond area since 1988 and have two married children who live in Conroe, Texas and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
